A Note on Human Development Indices with Income Equalities

with the data given by Sarker et al. in their paper is re-computed to compare the composite index with
theirs. The HDR-2005 or the HDR-2006 adds little to the HDR-2004 database. Secondly,
a slightly different DAPCHDI by a new method is computed, which, unlike the principal
component analysis that aims at maximizing the sum of squared coefficients of
correlation between the composite index and the constituent variables, maximizes,
instead, the sum of absolute coefficients of correlation between the composite index and
