Health and Human Security: From Establishment to Operationalisation

Whilst our preparedness for such an emerging infectious disease is unprecedented, are we continuing to act mostly as crises arise? Here we consider progress to date in pandemic preparedness and explore reasons for our current lack of comprehensive health security. We conclude by reviewing what remains to be done and prioritising the remaining needs.
