The aim of this primer is to summarise the current state of knowledge on the impacts of climate change on food security and nutrition. Understanding the specific impacts of climate change on food security is challenging because vulnerabilities are unevenly spread across the world and ultimately depend on the ability of communities and countries to cope with risks. In the context of food security, some regions of the world might experience gains under climate change, but developing countries are likely to be negatively affected.
