Utilization of Maternal Health Care Services in Bihar

Improving maternal health has been a great challenge in developing countries like India. This study comprehends women’s perceptions of quality and satisfaction with maternal health care services. It was conducted in Bihar using qualitative methods The findings reveal that there has been an improvement in maternal health, especially with increase in institutional child birth in this region. This can be attributed to the implementation of Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY). Nevertheless, there are several challenges. The most important need is the humanly treatment and social care that can be generated through social sensitivity and other useful desired behavioural changes.
