Andhra Pradesh: Budget Speech 2011-2012

The Budget Speech by the State Finance Minister tabling the Finance Bill asserted that all welfare programmes like Rs.2 per KG rice, free power supply to the farmers, Rajiv Arogyasri, old age pensions, Indiramma housing pavala vaddi under Indira Kranthi Padham would be continued. Some like the successful Arogyasri are to be strengthened. For the financial year 2011-12, it is programmed for an expenditure of `.1,28,542 crores out of which `.80,984 crores is under Non-plan and `47,558 crores is under Plan. It is estimated that the revenue surplus would be `3,826 crores.
