Daily Lives And Corruption: Public Opinion In South Asia
Published By: Transparency International | Published Date: December, 22 , 2011Between 2010 and 2011, more than 7500 people were interviewed in six South Asian countries – Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka – on their views of corruption levels in their countries and their governments’ efforts to fight corruption. This report examines the frequency of reports of bribery in different sectors and institutions, the reasons respondents paid bribes during the last year and also investigates public willingness to engage in the fight against corruption.
