Principles and Good Practice for Preserving Data

The recommendations address core preservation requirements. They identify steps for developing an effective preservation approach suited to the needs and requirements of individual official data producers and complying with standards of good practice within the digital preservation community, the latter being committed to the longterm management of digital content of all types. This section defines the purpose and scope of the guidance.
