Mobile Financial Services in Bangladesh: An Overview of Market Development

With this goal in mind Bangladesh Bank has collaborated with CGAP (www.cgap.org), an independent policy and research body dedicated to financial inclusion, to complete this study. The information and analysis in the report are based on a series of short surveys and discussions with ten banks and four MNOs, plus interviews with a sample of one hundred MFS users and fifty agents extending the service.
