The Hidden Workforce: A Study on Child Labour in the Garment Industry in Delhi

Deprived of their basic right to survival, protection, development and participation, these children, between the age group of 5 to 17 years, account for 11% of the world’s total child population. The garment industry is one of the largest employers in the country, generating 1/5th of the total export earnings and contributing to 4% of the country’s total GDP.
