Report on the State Of Food Insecurity in Urban India

It captures the changes in the urban scenario from updated statistics like NFHS, NSSO etc. and highlight the parameters that would lead to improved food security in India.It describes and analyse the status and challenge of urban food security in the contemporary context across the major states of India. The focus of this report is on chronic food insecurity, which attempts to draw a comparitive picture between two points of time. It provides an important tool for policy makers and other stakeholders and concludes by offering some policy recommendations to promote urban food security.
