Population Projections: Census 2011 Data
Published By: government of India | Published Date: November, 04 , 2013According to the Census data for 2011 which was released recently, India's population growth will steadily decline as indicated in stabilisation of Total Fertility Rate (TFR) by 2025.
The report estimates that population will stand at approximately 1.4 billion due to reduction in TFR from 2.6 in 2010 to 2.0 (projected) in 2025.
