Ideas, Innovation, Impact: Annual Report 2009-2010

IDRC builds the skills and expertise of people and institutions in developing countries to undertake the research that they believe is most needed. The Parliament of Canada created IDRC as a Crown corporation 40 years ago in 1970. Thousands of researchers are honing their skills in IDRC- funded projects and activities. Providing individuals with opportunities to develop expertise is one of the ways we help developing countries gain a critical mass of experienced researchers and innovators.
