Marital Rape: A Non- Issue In India*
Published By: | Published Date: April, 13 , 2007Rape with in marriage is not only the violation of sex it is related to a woman's consent i.e. her autonomy and bodily integrity are at stake. It is the violation of self-determination and breach of trust. Rape is not comparable to the marital rape as rape involves stranger but to be abused by ones husband is a personal experience. The article provides a theoritical insight for marital rape which is still considered as a nonissue in India and explore some areas of research on this perticular issue in India.
