Public Private Partnership in Drinking Water Supply of Greater Mumbai

Demand for drinking water is continuously increasing over the period of time in Mumbai city but the supply is stagnant. The State government of Maharashtra and Brihanmumbai Corporation (BMC) does not take necessary steps of supplying more drinking water. Drinking water has its values in terms of time, space, quality and quantity. With the help of Tobit regression it is shown which all sectors have higher use of demand in the city. It is also explained how the present and future demand-supply gap can be solved.
