India First Biennial Update Report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The government recognizes the urgency and importance of the actions that need to be taken collectively to meet the ultimate objective of the Convention i.e. stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system. India had submitted Initial National Communication in 2004, and Second National Communication in 2012. Government of India has prepared the first Biennial Update Report (BUR) for submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as an update to the most recently submitted National Communication i.e. the Second National Communication.
