Nepal Rastra Bank

The bank was established in 1956 under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act 1955. The new Nepal Rastra Bank Act was brought out in 2002 by replacing the erstwhile Act of 1955. The new Act has provided operational autonomy and independence to the Bank. Information about the NRB including its policies, functions and activities can be accessed through the menu at left.
