Cheery Children, Growing Girls, and Developing Young Adults: On Reading, Growing, and Hopscotching Across Categories

Published By: IGIDR on eSS | Published Date: December, 11 , 2003

This paper is about hopscotching, and in turn jumps over many disciplinary categories, from literature to gender studies to development studies. At one level this is the voice of the interdisciplinary academic who brings a literary training to bear on the field of development studies, where with increasing urgency experts try to record voices and to read subjectivities for their narratives and perceptions of development.
