US-WTO Shadow on India’s Solar Power Plans
Published By: Newsclick on eSS Mumbai | Published Date: March, 04 , 2016With last week’s WTO ruling against India on a complaint by the US in early 2013 that India’s Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) for some solar power projects violating WTO prohibitions, it is incumbent on the Indian government and industry to work from within to promote renewable energy as it marches forward with its various manufacturing initiatives rather than relying on cheap imports.
