Thus, there is an urgent need to provide better access to TVET to help increase productivity and ensure wider diffusion of modern technologies. The Bangladesh Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper identifies the promotion of vocational training and skills development as a strategic goal for accelerating the growth process, reducing poverty, and lessening vulnerability.
