Labour migrants: diminished demand, diminished rights?

The economic crisis has had heavy exposure in international news, but its range of victims has extended beyond the subprime debtors and financial analysts of the developed world. Ignored by most developed world governments, migrant workers are bearing the brunt of an economic crisis, despite their contributions to the world economy. Will the human security of labour migrants be compromised by the economic crisis? This edition of the Alert attempts to highlight this issue.
